About the authors
The data described in the book is incorporated in the smida library.

Four of the five data sets are RNA expression data, whereas the data from a breast cancer study (breast) contains DNA amplification and deletion data from 62 patients. Furthermore, smida contains skin cancer data (skin), time-course mouse mammary gland data (mammary), and M. Tuberculosis time-course data (tuberculosis). The Arabidopsis nutrient transport experiment, as well as all other experiments are described in the first chapter of the book, although data from the Arabidopsis experiment is neither used in the book nor included in the library.
