Scientific Activities:

My research interest is the understanding of interacting stochastic systems on a mathematical level. What makes such interacting systems interesting is that they might show collective behavior and long range order. Of particular interest are disordered systems. Often their behavior is not even heuristically clear. Moreover they give rise to interesting conceptual probabilistic issues. Here is a non-technical short introduction to the field pdf-file.
