Réka Szabó
assistant professor
I am an assistant professor since October 2022 at the Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Inteligence of the University of Groningen, in the Probability and Statistics group. Before that I was a postdoc at Université Paris-Dauphine in the group of Cristina Toninelli, and did my PhD at the University of Groningen under the supervision of Daniel Valesin. My research interests and experience are Interacting Particle Systems and Percolation Theory; I have worked especially on the Contact Process, Oriented Percolation Models, Probabilistic Cellular Automata and Bootstrap Percolation.

Together with Gilles Bonnet and Tobias Müller, I am organizing the Workshop On Randomness and Discrete Structures (WORDS 2025) in Groningen, 7-9 April.
I am one of the organizers of the Probability and Statistics Seminar in Groningen.
