Benjamin T. Hansen

Mathematics Ph.D Candidate

I am a mathematics Ph.D student at the University of Groningen. My thesis concerns percolation theory for the hyperbolic plane. My advisor is Tobias Müller.

The goal of this website is to keep a portfolio of some of my work and provide a point of contact to future employers and others with similar interest.

Please comment if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks!

Previously, I was a master student in mathematics at Western Washington University. My masters project was on the topic of information theory, specifically Shannon's noisy channel theorem and linear codes. My advisor was Amites Sarkar.

I studied both mathematics and economics at Western Washington University.
